It has been a while since my last post 😅, but I am back and I'm going to try and post at least once a week ☝️!
Plus on my haul post, it's not that much. I was going to put pictures on of the clothes that I got but I didn't have the lead for the camera to put it on my laptop 😐.
But anyway today I'm going to tell you how to decorate cookies, Halloween style!
What you'll need:
- Cookies or biscuits (plain ones are best)
- A spoon
- A butter knife
- A bowl
- A plate or tray
- Water
- Icing sugar
- Food colouring (in Halloween colours e.g. Red, orange, brown, green)
- If you are too lazy then you can go and buy coloured icing from the shop but I like to make it myself because that way I can make different colours.
How to do it:
- Take the cookies/biscuits and place them on a tray or plate.
- Get a bowl and put around one and a half tablespoons of icing sugar into it. (If you are using ready made icing then skip steps 2, 3 and 4👍)
- Add a small amount of water to the bowl. Stir the icing sugar together, the mixture should be quite pasty. If it is too thick, add bits of water and keep mixing until it is a bit more runnier. If it is too runny add a bit more icing sugar and mix.
- Add a tiny bit of food colouring and mix, remember a little goes along way!
- Take the butter knife and a cookie/biscuit and using the knife spread the icing onto the cookie/biscuit. If you are drawing a picture, like a pumpkin, on your cookie/biscuit then spread the icing in the shape you are trying to draw. If you are using ready made icing it will probably be in a tube, you can squeeze the icing out in the shape that you want.
- If you need more than one type of colour of icing then wash out the bowl, spoon and knife and repeat steps 2,3,4 and 5.
- Once you have finished icing your cookies/biscuits put them on a plate or tray, serve and enjoy!
And that is how to decorate cookies- Halloween style!
Jenny :)
